Epifania "Eppie" - Age 74 - Chimayo Martinez

Epifania “Eppie” Martinez, age 74, a resident of Chimayo passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2010 following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Regina Moreland; son, David “Bando” Martinez; sister, Ernestina Ortiz; brothers, Lorenzo and Albert Tito Moreland and sister-in-law, Stella Martinez. Epifania is survived by her children, Gary Martinez and companion, Denise Burd and Theresa Cole and husband Bob, all of Chimayo, Karen Carrillo and husband Chris of Albuquerque, Ernesto Martinez and wife Shirley of Chimayo, Sharon Marquez and husband Donald of Ranchitos, Dolores Arevalo and husband Lupe of Espanola, Debbie Castro and husband Edmundo and Frances Martinez and companion Arthur, all of Chimayo. She is also survived by her companion, Jesus Guzman of Medanales and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. A wake will take place on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Honorary pallbearers are Pepper Vigil, Theresa Sanchez, Ramona Martinez, Rudy and Bernie Cordova, Ernestina Martinez and Floraida and Corpentino Vigil.
