Elvira - Age 97 - Nambe Valdez

Elvira Valdez – Age 97 a resident of Nambe passed away on Friday, June 4, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents: Juan Estevan and Christine Vigil; husband, Seferino Valdez; 1 son, Anselmo Valdez; granddaughter, Terri Valdez; and a grandson, Carlos Valdez. She was a lifetime parishioner of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Nambe. She is survived by her children: Isidoro Valdez and wife Eliza of Nambe, Anna Martinez and husband Ruben of La Mesilla, Fernando Valdez and Jose A. Valdez both of Nambe, Bernie Guinn and husband Harold of Española and Christine Powers of Velarde; 21 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Nambe. Burial will follow at the Nambe Catholic Cemetery.
