Eloy - Chamita - Garcia

ELOY J. GARCIA, a lifelong resident of Chamita, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, he will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his son, Eloy Garcia, Jr.; parents, Servando and Antonia Garcia; parents-in-law, Phil and Tillie Maestas; brother, Guadalupe Garcia and brothers-in-law, Joe Lopez and Senon Martinez. Mr. Garcia is survived by his wife, Sylvia M. Garcia; daughter, Joyce B. Garcia y Balkey and husband Brian; granddaughter, Serena A. Garcia and husband Victor all of Chamita; grandsons, Joey M. Medina III of Velarde and Bryce E. Balkey of Chamita; great-granddaughter, Aubrey L. Bustos of Chamita; sisters, Donelia Martinez of Los Luceros and Tina Garcia of Chamita; brothers and sisters-in-law, Katie Lopez of Chamita, Leonard and wife Milka Maestas of Santa Fe, Solomon and Lucy Jaramillo of Las Vegas, Nevada, Leo Maestas and wife Lucille of Hernandez,; very close nephew, Joseph D. Lopez of Chamita and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A rosary to be recited on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Catholic burial to be celebrated on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at the San Pedro Catholic Cemetery in Chamita with the following serving as pallbearers, Brian and Bryce Balkey, Joey M. Medina, III, Victor Bustos, Joseph and Jose Lopez and Melvin Maestas. The family of Eloy J. Garcia has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
