Eloisa Marquez

ELOISA MARQUEZ, 90, a resident of Espanola, previously of Chama, passed away unexpected on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 with her loving family by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonia Maestas (Tonita), Juan Maestas; brother, Eliseo Maestas and wife Rosalia Maestas; granddaughter, Janette Marquez; nephew, Alfred Maestas Jr; husband, Eliseo Marquez and step-son, Barolin Duran. Eloisa was a senior citizen cook for many years. She loved bingo and the casino. She enjoyed being around all her family, she enjoyed dancing, listening to music cooking, listening to rosary on KDCE as well as obituaries. She will be dearly missed. She had a big heart always helping people she was dearly loved by her family and friends. Eloisa is survived by her sons, Alfred Maestas (Vicky) of Grand Junction Colorado, Johnny Marquez (Theresa) of Chama, Adolfo Marquez (Anne) of Fruita Colorado, and Ralph Marquez (Ann) of Espanola, daughters, Berna Talamante (Frank) of Chama, Maryann Valdillez Mendez (Sergio) of Espanola, grandsons, Anthony Marquez (Peggy) of Heron, NM, Juanito Marquez (Meru) of Albuquerque, Randy Marquez (Crystal), of Rifle Colorado, JR Marquez (Kelly) of Grand Junction Colorado, Phillip Talamante of Chama, Feliciano Talamante (Chano) of Chama, Josh Talamante of Chama, Jeremy Martinez (Tammy Martinez of La Canova, Richard Martinez Jr. of Espanola, Elmer Maestas of Ogden Utah, Tony Maestas of Ogden Utah, David Maestas (Bernadette) of Ogden Utah, Johnny Maestas of Grand Junction Colorado, Steven Maestas of Dickison North Dokota, Victor Maestas of Dickision North Dolota, Daniel Marquez (Sophie) of Espanola, David Marquez (Angel) of Espanola, and Eric (Gato) Deemy of Espanola, granddaughters, Marquita Martinez (Jesus) of Plaza Blanca, Cynthia (Pebbles) Martinez of Clifton Colorado, Andrea Martinez (Leroy) of Velarde, Maria Maestas (Pablo) of Grand Junction Colorado, Sarah Marquez of Espanola, 37 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Public visitation will begin on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at El Buen Pastor Church in Espanola. Serving the family as pallbearers are Richard Martinez Jr., Feliciano (Chano) Talamante, Daniel Marquez, Anthony Marquez, Jeremy Martinez Jr., and JR Marquez, honorary pallbearers will be all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
