With profound sadness and hearts full of love, we share the passing of our beloved Elizabeth “Lizz” Eve Medlin of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Born on Christmas Eve 1984 in Chama, New Mexico, Lizz was a beautiful light in our lives. She was called home to her eternal rest on January 8th, 2025, surrounded by her family and close friends. Though we grieve her absence, we take comfort in knowing that Lizz is now free from pain and cradled safely in the arms of Jesus.
Lizz lived a life of compassion and service. After graduating from Española High School, she began a fulfilling career in eye care, working most recently with Eye Associates of New Mexico. Her kind heart and generous spirit also led her to serve as a volunteer firefighter with the Santa Fe County Fire Department (La Cienega).
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jeremy Medlin and Michael (Mikey) Moya, her paternal grandparents, José Onofre & Maria Alcaria Moya, her maternal grandparents, Goldie & John Medlin, as well as numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Lizz’s beautiful legacy lives on through her children, Timothy and Timmia (Mia) Romero; her loving parents, Miguel & Pam Moya; brothers, Lucas Moya, Henry Medlin, and Paul Medlin; sisters, Beverly Medlin & Melinda Medlin; many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and countless friends who loved her deeply.
A Celebration of Lizz’s Life will be held at DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola, NM, on Friday January 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM with a reception following at La Fonda Del Sol located at 233 North Paseo De Onate in Espanola, NM.
