ELIZABETH (BISH) EMIGH, 85, a resident of Los Alamos, passed away peacefully holding her husband’s hand at her home on Wednesday, September 15, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Vivian Bish. Elizabeth was a member of the American Association of University Women. In Ohio State she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She was also an educator for 30 years as a 4th and 5th grade teacher at the Los Alamos Public Schools. Her favorite pastimes were traveling to foreign countries and to play Bridge and was a member of numerous Bridge clubs. Mrs. Emigh is survived by her husband, C. Robert Emigh of Los Alamos; sons, Robert A. Emigh and wife Patricia Saint John of Los Alamos, Theodore H. Emigh and wife Gini of Raleigh, North Carolina and David A. Emigh and wife Phyllis of Pomfret, Connecticut; grandchildren, Will, Rob, Linnea, Gwenth and Megan Emigh; sister, Ann Bish of Niskayuna, New York; her dog, Keri and numerous other relatives and friends. An open house Remembrance for Elizabeth will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Emigh residence. All relatives, friends and former students are invited for a gathering to give the family an opportunity to meet her friends.
