Elizabeth - Age 51 - Pojoaque Dominguez

ELIZABETH CHRISTINE DOMINGUEZ, resident of Pojoaque, died Monday, October 18, 2010 after a courageous 9 year battle with cancer. Elizabeth passed away peacefully at her childhood home in Santa Cruz. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Benito and Juanita Duran; maternal grandparents, Vicente and Romanita Roybal; father, Manuel Duran and nephew Steven Duran. Born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, May 4, 1959, Elizabeth grew up in Santa Cruz, and graduated from Espanola Valley High School in 1978. Elizabeth touched the lives of many people with her compassion and generosity, and maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Mrs. Dominguez is survived by her husband, John Dominguez of Pojoaque; children, John Dominguez and wife Andrea of Santa Fe, Diane Robles and husband Miguel of Pojoaque, Joanna Romero and husband Adam of Nambe, Suzanna Dominguez of Albuquerque and Nicholas Dominguez of Pojoaque; grandchildren, Janessa Dominguez, Jayleen Dominguez, Gavin Robles, Aytianna Romero, Eli Dominguez and Isabelle Robles; mother, Theresa Duran of Santa Cruz; brothers and sisters, Raymond Duran and wife Maryann and their daughter, Monica Duran of Chamita, Dorothy Rendon and husband Rudy and their daughters Yvette Buller, Tammy Jo Saiz and Jamie Rendon of Velarde, Daniel Duran and wife Corrine and their sons, Isaiah, Ryan and Donovan Duran of Florence, AZ; Sylvia Salazar and husband John and their children, Ashten and Curtis Salazar of Velarde, Geraldine Martinez and husband Jesse and their daughters, Shanice and Kyle Martinez of Santa Cruz; father and mother-in-law, Pete and Rita Helen Dominguez of Jacona; brothers-in-law, Pete Dominguez and wife Theresa and their children, Denise Gallegos, Michelle Vigil, Jaclyn and James Dominguez of Truchas, Bobby Dominguez and wife Crystal and their son Ryan Dominguez of Rio Rancho; sister-in-law, Elena Dominguez and her children, Xavier and Emma Kitchens; her four great-nephews and four great-nieces. A memorial service will be on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at El Buen Pastor Church in Ranchitos. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. also at El Buen Pastor Church in Ranchitos. Burial to follow at the Loma Vista Cemetery in Alcalde.
