Elizabeth “Lisa” Quintana, 48, a resident of Hernandez passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 16, 2010. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother; Elena Gallegos, nephews, Andrew Quintana, Eric Gurule, and Donald Gurule; father of her children, Lawrence Maestas. Mrs. Quintana is survived by her children; Loreen Maestas and companion Michael Barela of Rio Chama, Loretta Maestas of Santa Fe, Gilbert Maestas and companion Megan Medina of Hernandez; companion, Larry Gallegos of Fairview; father, Andy Gurule and companion Jenny Fields of Chili; mother, Mary Ann Gurule of Hernandez; brothers and sisters, Elena Serrano and companion Don Herrera of Rio Chama, Bobby Gurule and wife Yvonne Kessinger of Hernandez, Tommy Gurule and wife Nora of Chili, Eddie Gurule and companion Michelle Franco of Taos, Rita Quintana and fiancé Roy Gallegos of Santa Fe, Ruth Gurule and companion Andres Medina of Hernandez, Andy Gurule Jr. and companion Yvette Medina of Hernandez, Merrily Meadows of Española; granddaughter raised by her, Seleena Maestas of Rio Chama; along with 7 other grandchildren; special friends, Monica Ortiz of Española and Javier Quintana of Española and also several other relatives and friends. Services are pending. The Family of Elizabeth Quintana has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
