Eliseo Trujillo - born September 6, 1923 passed away at the age of 86. He was preceded in death by his parents: Carmelito and Placida Trujillo; brothers: Manuel and Cipriano Romero; sister-in-law, Sabinita; and daughter, Yvonne Trujillo. Eliseo was a forman at Civil Conservation Corporation in 1942. They grew crops to feed America, in the time of war and built the interstructure of America. He worked in Wala Wala, Washington and Colorado, he was a master carpenter and worked in the sawmills in Potcreek in 1963. A farmer by heart, a pet lover and enjoyed going to the casino. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary; sister-in-law, Margarita Torrez; sons: Archie and partner Darlene of Española, Eliseo (Ernie) Jr. and partner Amber of Hernandez; daughters: Julie and partner Eugene of Truchas and Nancy of Española; 2 granddaughters he raised: Francine and Ashley; granddaughters: Fran, Heather, Irene, Iesha, Teresa and Angel; 4 great-grandchildren; many loved nephews, nieces and his loving chihuahua’s: Chico and Taz; and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Truchas with burial to follow at the Romero Cemetery in Truchas.
