Elirray Trujillo

ELIRRAY B. TRUJILLO, 53, a resident of El Guache and originally of Chimayo, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2016 following a tragic ATV accident. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dionicio & Carmelita Trujillo; maternal grandparents, Manuel & Juanita Padilla; sister, Karen Trujillo; nephew, Derrick Reynolds as well as other loving relatives. Elirray was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He had a special passion for drag racing and truck driving and enjoyed spending time with friends that were more like family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, ATV riding, and working in his garage. He was a generous man who always offered a helping hand to those he loved. Elirray is survived by his wife of 35 years, Geralyne Trujillo of Española; daughters, Ashley Trujillo of Española, April Martinez and husband Joseph of El Llano, and Stephanie Trujillo of Española; grandchildren whom he adored, Angel Rivera, Madison Martinez, and Adrian Martinez; father, Vicente Trujillo of Chimayo; mother, Gloria Trujillo of Española; special in-laws, Joe and Kathleen Trujillo of Ranchitos; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Trujillo, Anna Martinez and husband Santiago of El Llano; nieces and nephews, Sherynee Johnson, Joseph Coriz, Josyln and Santos Martinez; special friends, David, Emily, and DJ Jaramillo, Lee Rabener, Dennis Martinez, Bobby and Monica Garcia, Gary Jaquez, David Martinez, Eric Trujillo, Pete Madrid, and Mr. & Mrs. Orlando Martinez; special uncle, Tony Trujillo and many other loving relatives and friends.  A rosary will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial to follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Santa Cruz with the following serving as pallbearers, Dennis Martinez, Bobby Garcia, David Jaramillo, Lee Rabner, Eric Trujillo, Joseph Martinez, DJ Jaramillo, and Angel Rivera. Honorary pallbearers will be, Adrian Martinez, Elias War, and EJ Trujillo. The family of Elirray B. Trujillo has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
