Elijio Padilla Jr.

Elijio H. Padilla Jr., 45, a resident of Truchas, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2015. Elijio was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Antonio and Susie Atencio; sister, Connie Padilla, paternal grandparents, Juan Padilla, Nicanor Torrez; uncle, Pres Padilla; cousin, Phil Dominguez. Elijio enjoyed riding his Harley with his brother, he enjoyed camping, hauling wood with his Dad and brother, working out with his fiancé, sister and Joseph, he also enjoyed fishing, traveling and hiking. He went to school and NMCC and got his degree as a plumber, and he owned his business Rocky Mountain Plumbing and Roofing Co. In his past he also worked for as a Swat Team Member for PTLA LANL He enjoyed spending time with his nephews and family. Elijio is survived by his mother and father, Virgina Padilla and Elijio Padilla Sr. both of Truchas; son, Nikko Casados of Espanola; fiancé, Carolyn Trujillo and son, Joseph Coriz of Espanola; grandmother, Margarita Torrez of Truchas; sisters, Sandra Padilla (Ryan Bustos) of Espanola, Karen Martinez (Paul Martinez of Rio Rancho, brother, Isaac Padilla (Frances Lopez) of Vadito; nephews, Dante Quintana of Espanola, Isaac Padilla Jr. of Pahrump NV, Gabriel Martinez of Rio Rancho, Isaiah Padilla of Vadito, and niece, Ashley Gaitan of Vadito. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a memorial to follow at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at the Los Llanitos Cemetery at a later date.
