Elidia “Lilly” Quintana – Age 73 born on April 2, 1939 a resident of La Puebla and formally of Nambe and Colorado passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012 with her loving family by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents: Aaron Lopez, Sr. and Angelina Lopez; husband, Augustine “Gus” Quintana; and brother, Gilbert Lopez. Elidia was a member of the Holy Family of La Puebla, she was a homemaker for most of her life. She never let anyone go hungry and wouldn’t let anyone leave her home without eating. She loved gardening and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughters: Mildred Varela and husband Guillermo “Billy” and Janette Quintana all of La Puebla; granddaughters: Ranada Baca and husband Jerrold of Arroyo Seco and Dove Quintana and companion Ernie Garcia III of La Puebla; great-grandson, Ernesto Garcia IV of La Puebla; sisters and brothers: Helen Martinez and husband Luis, Wilma Roybal, Ruby Padilla and husband Sam, Delphi Martinez, Ernie Lopez, Debbie Romero and husband Danny and Aaron Lopez, Jr. and wife Leann; and her little companion, Leila; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A second rosary will be recited on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial will follow at the La Puebla Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Ray Roybal, Sammy Padilla, Karl Montoya, Aaron Lopez III, Chris Roybal and Anthony Lopez. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Justin, Joshua and Joseph Padilla, Ernesto Garcia IV and Larry Payton.
