Elfego Lovato III

ELFEGO LOVATO, III, 48, a resident of Los Alamos, departed this earth to be with the Lord the early morning of Saturday, December 31, 2016. Elfego was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elfego Lovato, Sr. and Carlota Lovato; aunt, Christella Lovato; aunt, Tanny Lovato; and cousin, Gracie Lovato.  Elfego is survived by his children, Victoria Lovato, Elfego Lovato IV, Rafael Lovato and their mother Tuhy Mills; his parents, Elfego Lovato, Jr. and Patricia; sister, April Lovato and her children, Jahmal (wife, Amerissa), Christian and Kevin Dupree; sister, Charlotte (Charly) Arthur, husband Scott and their daughter, Sydney; and numerous other relatives and friends.  Elfego was loved by many, will be greatly missed and will always be remembered as a giving, loving father who loved his children beyond words.  He was a son who made his parents proud; a brother that was a best friend to his sisters; an uncle who loved his nieces and nephews like his own children; and a loyal friend, not only to his best friend Joe Turner, but to all. He brightened the lives of all who knew him.  He loved truck driving, being outdoors, cabin stays in the mountains with family and just being with family.  Family was everything to Elfego.  His love of music shines through his children and their musical talents. A private service was held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at DeVargas Funeral Home with burial immediately following at Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos. Serving as pallbearers bringing Elfego to his final resting place was his father, Elfego Lovato, Jr.; son, Elfego Lovato, IV; son, Rafael Lovato; nephew, Christian Dupree; nephew, Kevin Dupree; Brother-in-law, Scott Arthur; and close family friend, Dylan Sanchez.
