Elaine - age 46 - Okay Owingeh Casias - Martinez

Elaine Joyce Casias Martinez, age 46, a resident of Okay Owingeh passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Elaine was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Aurelia and Miguel Casias; maternal grandparents, Antonio and Carnation Montoya; husband, Eric R. Martinez; granddaughter, Audianna Martinez and special cousin, Debbie Casias. Elaine is survived by her parents, Johnny Casias and wife Elisia (Ellie); children, Erica Martinez and husband Vidal Fernandez, Veronica Martinez and husband Tilo, Lina Martinez and companion Lupe; grandchildren, Vidal, Jr., Joel, and Alexiana Fernandez, Tilo, Jr., Callen and Joscelynn Martinez and Jesus Adelete; brothers, Christopher Casias and Clarence Casias and wife Anna; sister, Jonna Johnson and husband Marcus; God-mother, Raycita Garcia; uncles, Miguel Casias and wife Betty, Ramon Casias and wife Cordilia, Naldo Casias, Andy Casias and wife Charolette, Tony Casias and wife Zoe, Edward Casias, David Casias, Michael Montoya and Tony Montoya and wife Elizabeth; aunts, Lucy Moya and husband Anthony, Peggy Suazo-Romero and husband Robert; nephews, John Duran and Darrin Espinosa. Elaine was a loving mother of 3, a very caring person, open hearted, and enjoyed her dogs. She was known as happy face, she was a very loving and thoughtful grandmother. A rosary will be recited on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at the Ohkay Owingeh Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Vidal Fernandez, Sr., Tilo Martinez, Lupe Adelete, John Duran, Michael Montoya and Darrin Espinosa. Honorary pallbearers are, Vidal, Jr., Joel, Alexiana, Joscelynn, Jesus, Tilo, Jr., and Callen. Any monetary donations may be made at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory.
