Eileen Annette - age 71 - Hernandez Jensen - Martinez

Eileen Annette Jensen Martinez, 71, a resident of Hernandez, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband Gilberto Martinez; daughter, Heather Angelie Martinez; parents, Albert and Ila Ross Jensen; brother, Dennis Jensen. Eileen was devoted and very strong to her faith, she loved and cared for many people that she considered her adoptive children. A passion of hers was quilting that she did for many years. She enjoyed writing poetry and loved her pets dearly. She was well known throughout Northern New Mexico as a visiting nurse for many years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sons, Chris G. Martinez and wife Tami, Enrique Martinez; grandchildren, Ky, Saya, and Nash Martinez. Public visitation and service will begin on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the Latter Day Saints in Española at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Richard Espinoza, Rocky Espinoza, Luis Peña, Michael Salazar, Mario Garcia, Everette Rael, Randy Perraglio, and Robert Tomlinson. The family of Eileen Annette Martinez has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.\r\n
