Edward J. Martinez, 44, a resident of Chamita passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward D. Martinez; maternal grandfather, Frank Manzanares; paternal grandparents, Pete and Olivama Martinez; uncles, Leonard Floyd Manzanares, David Manzanares, Wilfred Martinez and Dr. Jerry Foropoulos; cousins, Jacob Martinez and Betty Jo Manzanares-Hart. Mr. Martinez is survived by his children, Kenneth Paul and Joylynn Martinez, both of Nambe; mother, Elizabeth Martinez of Chamita; sister, Monique Martinez of Albuquerque; maternal grandmother, Sophie Manzanares of Hernandez; aunts and uncles, Julia Manzanares of El Rancho, Marlene Martin (Gary) of Chamita, Joyce Foropoulos of Los Alamos whom was also like a mother to him, Judy Chavez (Jimmy) of Chamita, Elaine Rodriguez of Alcalde,  Leonard Manzanares (Rachel), David Martinez (Judy), and Pam Padilla (Bernie) all from Chamita; God-son, Andrew Herrera of El Rancho; God-parents, Alfred and Tina Madrid of Hernandez; special friend Bernie Maestas of Tierra Azul, as well as numerous relatives and friends. A devotional service will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Victory Faith Church in Española. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. also at Victory Faith Church, with a burial to follow at New Life Cemetery in Hernandez. The family of Edward J.
