Edward (Eddie) Padilla

Edward (Eddie) Michael Padilla age 68 of Hernandez, NM passed away peacefully on Friday, December 2, 2022, at his home in Shadow Mountain.  Eddie was born on August 9, 1954, in El Guache, NM to Jose and Luisa Padilla. 

Eddie is survived by his 2 children-Michael Padilla of Espanola and Georgette Garcia (Roland) of Shadow Mountain.  His grandchildren Heather Padilla, Roland Garcia Jr, Michael Padilla Jr, Matthias Garcia, Breanna Padilla, Bria Sanchez, Emerson Padilla and one great granddaughter London.  Mother of his daughters, Betty Rodriguez of Chamita.

His 8 siblings include-Bernie Vigil of Albuquerque, Ross Padilla (Vicky) of El Guache, Mary Romero (Ted) of La Villita, Edna Salazar (Regino) of Hernandez, Dolores Diaz of Espanola, Fabian Padilla (Christine) of El Guache, Nelson Padilla of Espanola, and Manuelita Padilla (Jose) of Espanola.

Eddie was preceded in death by a daughter Bonnie Padilla, his parents Jose and Luisa Padilla, sister’s Lourdes Maestas and Donna Abeyta, brother’s Leonard, Ronnie, and Ricky Padilla, brothers-in-law Joe Vigil and Ruben Diaz.

Eddie was one of 14 children and enjoyed his large family, gatherings, camping, hauling wood, and many outdoor activities.

A rosary will begin on Thursday December 15, 2022 at 11:30 am at San Jose Catholic Church in Hernandez with a mass of Christian burial to follow at 12:30 pm, burial will follow at the San Pedro Catholic Cemetery in Chamita.
