Eduvigen - Age 97 - Rio Lucio Pacheco

EDUVIJEN PACHECO, 97, a resident of Rio Lucio passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the Taos Living Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cresencio Pacheco; sons, Floyd and Santiago Pacheco; step-daughter, Elizada Gurule; grandchildren, Sandra and Karen Payan and Gregory Pacheco; sons-in-law, Ted Abeyta, Adolfo Gurule, Bobby Payan and Pete Baca. Eduvijen was a dedicated homemaker, a wonderful mother and grandmother. Mrs. Pacheco is survived by her children, Edward Pacheco and wife Laura, Rose Payan, Lisa Abeyta, Faby Martinez and husband Adonais, Joann Velasquez and husband Gilbert, Virginia Muniz and husband Jake; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at the San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. also at the San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco. Burial to follow at the Rio Lucio Community Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Shawn Brown, Joe Flores, Matthew Pacheco, Antonio Martinez and Ray and Eric Payan. Honorary pallbearers named are all her great-grandchildren. The family of Eduvijen Pacheco has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
