Eduardo Ignacio Archuleta, 91, A resident of the Pojoaque Valley, born on August 1, 1931, was greeted by the Angels and our Lord on Sunday April 23, 2023.
Eduardo was preceded in death by his son Anthony Edwin, infant daughter Loretta Archuleta, great-great-granddaughter Aria Vigil, brothers Luis (Regina), Adelmo (Isabelle), Alonso, Sisters, Carmen (Antonio Griego), and Anna Marie Martinez.
Survived by his wife Angelina (Angie), Daughters Lourdes Martinez (Manual), Lois Vigil (Jeff), Son, Ramos Archuleta. Siblings Jose Ramon, Lucille Gonzales (Gilbert), Deacon John (Elvira), Jose Daniel (Angela), Regina Archuleta, Mary Archuleta, Manuel and Josie Martinez, grandchildren Tim Martinez (Pam), Brandon Archuleta, Kimberly Green (Clinton), Isidoro Vigil (Melissa), great grandchildren Emily and Bryan Martinez, Amethyst and Kacey Vigil, Kyrian Vigil, along with his many nephews and nieces.
Eduardo moved with his family in 1941 from Capulin, Colorado. At the age of 17, Eduardo joined the Army during the Korean war, and was a truck Master stationed in Guam. Upon returning from Guam, Eduardo married his high school sweetheart (Angie) in January 1953. Eduardo retired from the State of New Mexico after 19 years in 1991 as the Grounds Foreman for the NM State Police.
Pallbearers will be Marcos Archuleta, Michael Archuleta, Manual Martinez, Joseph Romero, Isidoro Vigil and Jeff Vigil.
A Rosary will be held on Monday May 1, 2023 at 6:00 pm at Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe Church in Pojoaque, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday May 2, 2023 at 10:00 am at Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe Church. Burial will follow at Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe Cemetery in Pojoaque, NM.
The Family would like to express their Love and Appreciation to the care givers Sara Sanchez, Kimberly Green, Harold Martinez (Deceased), Dr. Mario Pacheco, Ambercare (The hospice team) and all the medical staff that help care for Eduardo.
We would also like to thank all the families and friends that called and expressed their condolences and for all the sympathy cards, phones calls, visits, Food and Monetary donations. We would also like to express our Thanks to everyone we may have missed.
