Eddie A. Trujillo, 88, a resident of Espanola, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015, following a short illness. Eddie was preceded in death by his son, Dan Trujillo; parents, Toribio and Andalesia Trujillo; father and mother in law, Abelino and Soleme Maestas; 6 brothers, 3 sisters, and many other nieces, nephews, and God-children. Eddie A. Trujillo was a well-known business man in the Espanola Valley, where he was a self-employed salesman. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, camping, boating, and teaching his traits. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Eddie is survived by his wife, Placida Trujillo; son, Eddie Trujillo Jr and wife Grace; daughter, Yvonne Trujillo and husband David; grandsons, Eddie Trujillo III and companion Bernadette, Luke Trujillo and wife Angela, and Steven Griego; granddaughter, Amanda Griego; great-grandchildren, Marcos Amarante, Elaina and Lucas Trujillo; sister, Bernie Martinez and many other loving relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at San Pedro Cemetery in Chamita. Serving the family as a pallbearer will be his grandson, Eddie Trujillo, III. Honorary pallbearers will be, Luke Trujillo, Amanda Griego, Steven Griego, Milton Maestas, Raymond Gallegos, Marcos, Elaina, and Lucas Trujillo. The family of Eddie A. Trujillo has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
