Eddie Sanchez

EDDIE R. SANCHEZ, 70, a resident of Hernandez, passed away of a lengthy  illness on Saturday, December 16, 2017. Eddie was preceded in death by his son, Eddie L. Sanchez; parents, Frank and Severina Sanchez; in-laws, Vianes and Olivama Maestas ; sister-in-law, Patty Vigil, brothers-in-law, Sam Garcia and Orlando Maestas; uncle, Jimmy S. Sanchez. Eddie was a loving husband of 50 years and he was a loving father. Eddie was a Vietnam Veteran and loved his cat Taz. Eddie will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Eneda Sanchez; brothers, Frank R. and Jerome Sanchez; nieces, Daniella and Eloisa, Tonianne Vigil; nephew, Angelo Vigil, special nephew, Alex Sisneros Jr. and wife Carol; sisters-in-law, Charlene Moya, Dora, Juanita (Alex Sr.), Socorro (Rudy) and Bertha, brother-in-law, Tony Vigil; special friends, Sister Bernardita Abeyta, Rigo and Lupe Zapata and many other nephews and nieces. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Burial will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. Pallbearers who will be carrying Eddie to his final resting place will be Alex Sisneros Jr., and  Rigo Zapata, honorary pallbearers, Jerome and Frank Sanchez, Angelo Vigil (Richard), and Tonianne Vigil.
