EDDIE DIAZ, 63, a resident of Chimayo, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Eddie was born January 3, 1952 and raised in Alcalde. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abel and Cecilia Diaz; brothers, Michael Diaz and Ruben (Kelly) Vigil; in-laws, Floyd and Celina Martinez; brothers-in-law, Jimmy and Chris Martinez. His biggest joys were spending quality time with his family and grandchildren who were his pride and joy. He also had a passion for low-riders and repairing cars. He is survived by is wife, Frances Martinez-Diaz; children, Clarence Diaz and companion Gloria and Jose Diaz all from Chimayo; grandchildren, Frances and Christopher Diaz; brother, Johnny Vigil, sisters, Lorraine (Charles) and Christine (Victor); sister-in-law, Pearl Vigil, Gloria (Charlie), Vangie (Frankie), Bertha (Cippie), Annabelle (Danny) and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh, with a burial to follow at the San Gabriel Catholic Cemetery in El Guique.
