Eddie - age 67 - Alcalde Edmonds

Eddie Edmonds, 67, a resident of Alcalde, born on September 6, 1947, departed this world to be with our lord on November 14, 2014. He passed away peacefully in his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwardo and Genara Edmonds; brothers Augustine, Joe, Gilbert, Richard, Mike and Riley Edmonds; his sister Isabelle Martinez. He dedicated 25 years to parks and recreation then retired from Los Alamos County. He had the most beautiful yard and took great pride in caring for it daily. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends although we know he is resting in peace. Eddie is survived by his wife of 43 years, Alvera Edmonds of Alclade; daughter, Yvette and husband Kerman Henrie of La Villita, Matthew and wife Tanya Edmonds of Pojoaque; step-son, Benny Marquez of Utah; grandchildren, Urayah Tafoya of Pueblo Colorado, Kendra and Cyrus Henrie of La Villita, Tristian Lucero and Isabella Ramirez of Pojoaque; sisters, Virginia Edmonds of Arizona, Fela and husband Martin Guillen, Susie and husband Henry Lopez; sister-in-law, Ernestine Edmonds all of Alcalde, Emily and husband Gene Lopez of Los Alamos, Helen and husband Phillip Gomez of El Rancho, brothers-in-law, Teddy and wife Mary Romero of La Villita, Herbert Romero and companion Annette, Tony Romero all from Espanola, Leroy and wife Liz Romero of Medanales, as well as several nephews and nieces. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a wake service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Alcalde, with a burial to follow at the Alcalde Catholic Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers Lawrence Lopez, Rubel Romero, Wayne Edmonds, Allen Sandoval, Herbert Romero, and Brandon Romero, honorary pallbearers are all his grandchildren. On behalf of his family we would like to thank all our family and friends for all your support and prayers.
