Eddie - Age 26 - Española Salazar, Jr.

Eddie Salazar, Jr., 26, a resident of Española joined our Heavenly Father after passing away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, November 16, 2012. Eddie was the loving father of two beautiful children, Renee Lynn-4 and Arianna Deja-6. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Odilia and Adolfo Morfin; his paternal grandparents, Claudina and Lalo Salazar; aunts and uncle, Cecilia Salazar, Andres Salazar and Alicia Salazar. Eddie Jr. loved and appreciated this community he grew up in and could often be found in the surrounding mountain landscape enjoying the outdoor activities he liked so much. Eddie, Jr. learned from his mom and dad all the forest roads in and around the Santa Fe National Forest from 31 mile road across the mountains to Coyote and beyond. Eddie, Jr. also enjoyed working on cars and learned the auto-mechanic trade from Eddie, Sr. He recently took up an interest in art and created beautiful carvings in his spare time, something that was undoubtedly inherited by his grandfather, Adolfo Morfin. Eddie, Jr. had a big heart, always willing to help anyone in need. He had many friends and will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Eddie, Jr. was employed by the Los Alamos Medical Center. Eddie, Jr. is survived by his loving parents, Alicia and Eddie, Sr.; his sisters, Amanda, Angelina and Vicky; mother of his children, MaryAnn; special nieces, KellyAnn, Kayla and Aliya. Eddie, Jr. was a beloved member of his extended family, which includes his God-parents, Edna and Reggie Salazar; special friend, Maria and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at the Victory Faith Church in Española with a devotional service to be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Victory Faith Church in Española. Burial will follow at the Loma Vista Cemetery in Alcalde with the following serving as pallbearers, Jason Mossman, Carlos Salazar, Adam Kotlisky, Melvin Morfin, Jesse Martinez and Jimmy Martinez. Honorary pallbearers named are, Orlando Morfin, Leonard Morfin, Sammy Baldonado, Ricky Trujillo, Ricky Madrid, Brian Gallegos, Isaac Cruz, Joshua Morfin, Israel Morfin and Jessica Salazar. The family of Eddie Salazar, Jr. has entrusted the care of their beloved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
