EDALIA “DOLLY” MONTOYA, 69, a lifelong resident of Chili, passed away of a lengthy illness on Saturday, January 5, 2019. Edalia was preceded in death by her parents, Gabriel and Gregorita Chavez; brothers, Guillermo Hernan, Anurfo, and Manuel Chavez; nephew, Daniel Rendon. She loved sewing, shopping and baking, but especially loved her grandkids and her family. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Edalia is survived by her loving husband of 42 years Ben Montoya; son, Gabriel Chavez and companion Cindy Lopez, daughter, Dolores Trujillo and companion Ralph Motto III; sister, Zennie Rendon and husband Abel; granddaughter, Alexus Martinez, grandsons, Nathaniel Trujillo and Dominic Chavez; niece and nephew as she raised as her own Ashley and Justin Chavez; great-grandson, Angel’Leo Anguiano, sister-in-law, Leonires Chavez; uncles, Pat and Jesse Chavez plus other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at New Hope Family Worship in Española.
