Dwight Dean Dugan, 79, a resident of Española passed away on Monday, December 5, 2011 at his home, after a long battle with COPD. Dean was a member of the Pipefitters Union #412 for over 50 years. He was a member of the Masonic and Shrine Lodges and was very active in the Shrine for many years. Dean was preceded in death by his wife Margaret; parents, Sam and Bernice. He is survived by his sons: Douglas and wife Kyla, Jerold Dugan and wife Leonor; sister, Wanda Stroup; many grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons; best friend, Jerry London; and his Yorkie, Suzie. A Memorial Masonic service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the Shrine Children’s Hospital or Valley View Methodist Church.
