Dwayne Koon

DWAYNE KOON, 46, a resident of Alcalde, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rayferd and Maria Koon; brother, Ray Allen Koon; In-laws, Phillip and Emily Talachy and numerous brothers-in-law. Dwayne was a very kind hearted person who loved his family dearly. He was a wonderful husband and father. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, and swimming. He was an enormous help to the community, his family, and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Dwayne is survived by his wife, Emily Koon; children, Rebecca Koon, Felicia Koon (Joseph Ratliff), and Dawson Koon; grandson, JD Koon; brother, Dale Koon; sisters, Peggy Romero (Scott), Amy Koon (Anthony), Sharon Koon, Evelyn Vasquez (Keith), Janice Gonzales, Brenda Reyes (Isidro), Gale Hatcher (Don), and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Velarde. Honorary pallbearer is Dawson Koon.
