Donny - Age 60 - Los Alamos - Herrera

DONNY HERRERA, 60, a resident of Los Alamos, passed away from this life on Monday, May 9, 2011at his home surrounded by his family. Donny was born on May 5, 1951 to Willie and Izadora Herrera in Santa Fe and was raised in Los Alamos where he attended school. At the age of 18, Donny enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Iazdora Herrera. Donny is survived by his loving wife, Sally Moore-Herrera; daughter, Terii Marriott; son, Caleb Moore; brother, Jake Maestas and wife Frances; sister, Margaret Gonzales and husband Armando; nieces and nephews, Nicole Smith, Clarissa Gonzales, Rodney and Raymond Maestas and William Gonzales and many other relatives and friends. Interment service will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Los Alamos VFW.
