Donald Velarde Jr.

Donald Velarde Jr. 46, a resident of Dixon N.M. passed away unexpectedly on July 8th, 2019. Donald was born in Grants N.M. to Donald Velarde Sr. and Dorcas Griego Velarde on August 30, 1972. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Velarde Sr. and brother Lawrence Velarde, Maternal grandmother Eleanor Griego and paternal grandfather Manuel Griego, paternal grandmother Eufelia Velarde and paternal grandfather Henry Velarde. He is survived by his mother Dorcas and four children, Donald III, Deanna, Joshua, Manuel; three aunts, Evila Rendon (David Valdez), Gladys Saldana (Hector), And Lorraine Velarde, uncles Clovis Velarde (Nora) and Joe Velarde, and many other friends, neighbors and relatives. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday July 24, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic church in Dixon. Mass of Christian burial will be Celebrated on Thursday July 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. also at St. Anthony’s Catholic church in Dixon with a burial to follow at the Father Kupper cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers are Marvin Aguilar, Clovis Velarde, Joe Velarde, Juan Lopez, Adrian Gonzales, And Toby Velarde. Honorary pallbearers will be his four children Donald Velarde III, Deanna Velarde, Joshua Velarde, and Manuel Velarde.
