Dominga Papillon

DOMINGA “MINNIE” ROCHES PAPILLON, 91, a resident of El Rancho, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016 with her loving family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrez Papillon; parents, Thomas and Rita Roches; siblings, Steven Roches, Antonia Casaus, Henry, Ed and Tom Roches, Clara Dominguez, Juan Roches and Gertrude Casaus. Dominga was an amazing seamstress and also loved cooking, fishing and singing and dancing. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. Mrs. Papillon is survived by her daughter, Annie Vigil and husband George Vigil; grandchildren, Michael L. Vigil and Felicia Martinez and husband Reynaldo; great-grandchildren, Delilah Martinez, Michael B. Vigil, Denise Martinez and Analea Vigil; sisters-in-law, Isabel Roche, Joyce Roche, and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the Lighthouse Church in Chimayo with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lighthouse Church in Chimayo. Burial to follow at 12:45 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Michael B. Vigil, Donny Cordova, Paul Cordova, Casey Casaus, Ricky Martinez, Elmer Martinez, H.P.B. Reynaldo Martinez, Michael L. Vigil, Delilah Martinez, Denise Martinez and Analea Vigil.
