Dolores C. - age 83 - Española/Coyote Martinez

Dolores C. Martinez, 83, resident of Española, formally of Coyote, passed away of a lengthy illness on Tuesday, May 20, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents Remijio and Saturnina Chacon; husband, Samuel Martinez; son, Delfin E. Martinez, daughter, Evelyn Weber, Grandson Who she raised Delfinsito Martinez; granddaughter Kelly Ann Martinez; brothers, Herman, Horacio, Andranico, Diego Chacon and Roberto Herrera, sister, Antonina Montoya; special brother-in-law, Ricardo Pacheco; sister-in-law, Irene Martinez; and great-grandson, Delfin Vargas. Dolores dedicated her life caring for foster children. She is survived by her son, Martin Martinez; daughters, Doris Padilla, Cathy Martinez and companion Albert Mondragon all of Española, Michelle Romero and husband Jeremy of El Guique; God son, Gilbert Mondragon of Hernandez; sister, Lucia Pacheco of Chimayo, sister-in-law, Rosabella Chacon of Las Vegas, Eudalia Gonzales of Española; daughter-in-law, Umelia Martinez, and Florence Martinez both of Espanola, 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, and many other nephews, nieces, family and friends. Public visitation will begin on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at Victory Faith Church in Española, with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at Victory Faith Church, with a burial to follow at the Loma Vista Cemetery in Alcalde, with the following serving as pallbearers Chris Martinez, Robert Trujillo, Albert Martinez, Ricardo Martinez, Gilbert Mondragon, Patrick Martinez. The family of Dolores Martinez has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley. \r\n
