Dolores Martinez

DOLORES T. MARTINEZ, 82, a resident of Chimayo, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 10, 2018.  Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Hector Martinez; sons, Ronnie and Carmen Martinez, grandson, Michael Esquibel; parents, Dorothy and Carmen Hernandez from Montana. Dolores was a loving mother, grandmother who loved her family dearly, especially her dog, Daisy. She loved taking care of her flowers, cooking, and making sure her home and family were always taken care of.  She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Martinez, Ricky Martinez; daughters, Juanita Porteous (Kevin), Anita Esquibel (Max), and Gina Martinez (Carlos), 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and numerous relatives and friends whom she loved dearly. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo, with a burial to follow at El Potrero Cemetery in Chimayo. Serving the family as pallbearers are Danny Esquibel, Alejandro Esquibel, Eric Garcia, Kenneth Martinez, Ricky “Honkie” Burrell, and Roberto Villella, honorary pallbearers, Carl Garcia, Jessica Martinez, and Jason Martinez.
