Derrick - Age 28 - Española - Reynolds

DERRICK D. REYNOLDS, 28, a resident of Española, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, April 6, 2013. He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Y. Trujillo; father, Kenny Reynolds; maternal great-grandparents, Manuel and Juanita Padilla; paternal great-grandparents, Dionicio and Carmelita Trujillo. Derrick always had a good heart and was always joking and was a loving person. He was a great artist and enjoyed drawing. He also loved low riders. He called his grandma Gloria, “mom”. He was so grateful to his grandpa, Vicente, for letting him drive his “55” Chevy pickup to Chimayo for Holy week. Mr. Reynolds is survived by his sister, Sherynee Johnson of Española; maternal grandparents, Vicente Trujillo of Chimayo and Gloria Trujillo of Española; paternal grandparents, Victor and Neri Reynolds of San Pedro; uncles and aunts, Elliray Trujillo and wife Gerelyn of Española, Debbie Reynolds and Paul Martinez Rose Marie and Carlos Valdez, Stephen and Teresa Reynolds and Emilio Montoya who was like a brother to him plus numerous other relatives and friends. Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 7:45 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo with burial to follow at Nuestra Señora de Carmel Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Emilio Montoya, Randy Vigil, Tomas Sisneros, Jerry Johnson, Nathaniel Valdez and Ruben Lucero. The family of Derrick D. Reynolds has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
