Denny Age - 71 - Santa Clara Pueblo Gutierrez

Denny Gutierrez, 71, a resident of Santa Clara Pueblo passed away on Friday, February 8, 2013. Denny enjoyed working with Tribal Government; he was a former Governor of the Pueblo for 4 years & was a longtime Council Member. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and his family. Denny enjoyed making traditional pottery, fishing, and hunting and was an avid Oakland Raiders fan. Denny was preceded in death by his wife, Magdalena Gutierrez; parents, Patrick and Katherine Gutierrez; brothers: Frankie V. Gutierrez and wife Helen, George and Charles Gutierrez. Denny is survived by his children: Jesse Gutierrez and wife Julia, Denise Gutierrez and companion Darrell Tafoya; granddaughters: Angela and Bethany Gutierrez all of Santa Clara Pueblo; brother, Pat Gutierrez and wife Margaret of Santa Clara Pueblo; godson, Tyson Vigil; sisters: Barbara Anglin of La Mesilla, Florence Sisneros of Santa Clara Pueblo, JoAnn Million and husband Eddie of La Mesilla; aunts: Irene Garcia and Clara Stone; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousin, aunts, uncles & other loving relatives and friends. Rosary will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at the family residence. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at Santa Clara Pueblo Catholic Church with burial to follow at Santa Clara Pueblo Cemetery.
