Dennis "Gurnes" - Age 55 - El Guiqu Martinez

Dennis “Gurnes” Martinez, 55, of El Guique passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 after a short illness. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and swimming. Dennis loved his family dearly. He was preceded in death by his son, Gilbert Martinez. Dennis is survived by his daughters: Melissa Martinez of Phoenix, AZ, Kimberly Garcia and companion Robert of La Mesilla; parents, Pete and Dolores Martinez of El Guique; brothers & sisters: Alex Martinez and wife Debbie of Albuquerque, Floyd Martinez of Pojoaque, Jimmy Martinez and wife Ruth of El Guique, Charlene Fernandez and husband Enrique of El Rancho, Lucille Tilley and husband Ray of Rio Rancho, Maxine Nevares and husband Valentin of Chihuahua, Mexico, Linda Cordova and husband Tony of Española, Dolores Salazar and husband Irvin of El Guache, Adella Trujillo of Arroyo Seco and Sandra Martinez of El Guique; grandchildren: Julian Salazar, Freddie Salazar, Monique Salazar, Jeremy Garcia, Isaiah Garcia and Heavyn Martinez; mother of his children, Lala Martinez; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews & other relatives and friends. Rosary will be recited on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church in San Juan.
