Dennis Lopez - Courtesy Announcement

Dennis Lopez, 78, passed away Dec. 8, 2016 in Rocky Ford, CO where he has been a resident for the past 12 years. He was born May 13, 1938 in Ojo Sarco, NM to the union of Fidel and Aguida (Leyba) Lopez who precede him in death, along with his loving wife Louisa Lopez; siblings, Bennie Mascarenas, Lydia Sanchez and Rose Montoya. He served 8 years in the United States Army. He retired from the U.S. Forestry Service as a fire fighter. Dennis enjoyed shooting pool, cutting hair, fishing, and he was always motivated to give anyone a helping hand with a smile on his face and his contagious laugh. Dennis is survived by his children - Arnold (Beatrice) Lopez, Maxine (David) Medina, and Dennis (Paulina) Lopez Jr.; God child - Angela Aguilar;  siblings, Nick Lopez, Ruth Montoya, Fidel Lopez Jr., Elden Lopez, Percina Arellano, Becky Garcia, and Bennie Mascarenas ; Grandchildren - Tina Medina, Roberta Lopez, Steven Lopez, Sheree Lopez, Jasmine Martinez, Kristen Medina, Doreen Lopez, Jared Gomez, Jacob Gomez, Lindsie McCleary, Jeremy McCleary & Jordan McCleary. Great Grandchildren - Aaliyah, Shayla, Emiliana, Aubrina, Katelyn, Quiana, Emmalina, Diego, Dionicio, Ethen, Destini, Damien, Jordyn, Ruben, Sophia, Zane and a host of other relatives and friends.
