Demecio Gonzales, 66, a resident of Española, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tomas and Mary Gonzales; brother, Leroy Gonzales; grandson, Angel Salazar; son-in-law, Andy Tingwall. Demecio is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughters, Paula and her children, Steven, Brandon, Angel and Beal, Leighann (Victor), Rachel (Joaquin), son, Nathan; grandchildren, Lexy, Elias, Jenna, and Justin; his sisters, Lenora, Elisa, Julia, Helen, Dolores, Geraldine, and Josephine; brothers, Lorenzo, Jose, Tomas, and Jerry and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a burial to follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family of Demecio Gonzales has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
