Delma Yvonne Salazar

DELMA YVONNE SALAZAR, 63, a resident of Española, passed away on September 24, 2024. Born on February 8, 1961, to Pacomio and Rosabel Salazar and raised in Cañones, NM. 

Those that knew Delma, will always remember her for her beaming smile, contagious laughter and loving, affectionate heart. The void in our hearts is great, but we are comforted by the memories.

She was preceded in death by her father, Pacomio Salazar; brother Delfinio Salazar, sister-in-law Veronica Salazar, padrino Eddie Salazar, God-daughter Patricia Garduño; and niece Victoria Vialpando.

Mrs. Salazar is survived by her husband, Antonio Salazar; son, James Salazar; mother, Rosabel Salazar; brothers/sisters; Rosemary Vialpando (Gilbert), Alfred Salazar (Christine), Abade Salazar, Nazario Salazar (Cindy), Pauline Lovato (Manuel), Bernadette Salazar (Allen), Sandra Salazar, Morris Salazar (Mindy), Ruby Valdez (Levi) and Jonathan Salazar; mother/father in-law Leopoldo and Cleotilde Salazar; brothers/sisters-in-law, Benito Salazar, Mary Gonzales (Tommy), Joseph Salazar (Hazel), Maxine Jacquez, Dennis, Steven Salazar (MariaElena), and Geraldine Talachy; God-daughters, Claudette Cordova and Kaylene Jacquez; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A Rosary will be recited on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 11:30 am, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:30 pm at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Espanola, NM.  Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Espanola, NM.  

Serving the family as pallbearers are Alfred, Abade, Nazario, Morris and Jonathan Salazar, Manuel Lovato and Gilbert Vialpando.

Honorary pallbearers are Mrs. Salazar’s, Padrinos - Manuel and Pauline Lovato, Connie Salazar, Dora Trujillo and all her nieces and nephews.
