Deliria G. - Age 82 - Velarde - Gutierrez

DELIRIA G. GUTIERREZ, 82, a resident of Velarde passed away on Friday, March 4, 2011 at her son’s home in Alcalde. Deliria was preceded in death by her mother, Frosina Gutierrez in 1985 and her sister, Isabel Salazar in 1995. She worked for many years at the Los Alamos and Española Hospital where she retired from. Ms. Gutierrez is survived by her son, Dennis “Cruiser” Gutierrez and companion Diane Lujan; granddaughter, Brittany all of Alcalde; brother, Wilfred Gutierrez and wife Cleo of Velarde; dear and close friend whom she considered not a friend but a sister, Angela “Eloisa” Garcia and her husband Joseph Jr. of San Pedro; her other close friend, Flora Martinez and husband Joe of Velarde; close cousin, Stella Quintana and family of Velarde and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Velarde with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Velarde. Burial to follow at the Velarde Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Lawrence Gutierrez, Elmer Salazar, Modesto Quintana Jr., Eppie Quintana, Randy Rendon and Michael Lopez. The family of Delieria G. Gutierrez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
