Delfin S. Vargas – Age 19 a resident of Española passed away unexpectedly of Lukemia on Thursday, December 27, 2012. He was preceded in death by his father, Delfin P. Martinez; paternal great-grandfather, Samuel Martinez; uncle, Patrick Vargas; maternal great-grandfather, Sabiñano Lovato; great-grandmother, Estella Vargas. Delfin was a very loving person, always wanting to help everyone in need. His smile could light up a whole room. He loved to dance, was an all purpose kind of guy. All kids loved him and he was the best sitter out there. He was very loved by all his family and friends and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his mother, Cheryl Renee Vargas and companion Josh Gutierrez of Center, CO; step-father, Joe E. Martinez, Jr. of Hernandez; sisters: Shental Lucero and husband Jonathan of Española, Stephanie Vargas and companion Ryan Chavez of Española, and Patricia Martinez and companion Joe Mascareñas of Center, CO; brother, Patrick Martinez of Española; paternal grandmother, Doris Padilla of Española; maternal grandfather, Frank Vargas of Center, CO; maternal great grandmother, Angelina Lovato of Cañones; maternal grandmother, Clara Balderama and companion Ruben of Center, CO; paternal great-grandmother, Dolores Martinez of Española; uncle and Godfather, Frank Vargas, Jr. of Center, CO; aunt and Godmother, Anita Vargas and companion Diego Lopez of Las Trampas; cousins; Ashley Martinez and Baby Annalee, Patrick Vaughn, and Dominic Lopez; and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Española with a rosary to be recited at 10:15 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Cemetery in Española with the following serving as pallbearers: Christian Montaño, Adam Vasquez, Ryan Chavez, Patrick Vaughn, Joe Mascareñas, Frankie Vargas, Jr., Jerry Setura and Joe E. Martinez, Jr. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Ashley Martinez, Adam Vasquez, Mario Miranda, Jonathan Esparza, Josh Gutierrez, Davie Gallegos and Lonnie Padilla. The family of Delfin S.
