Delfino de Fernandez “Dino” - Age 31 passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 3, 2011 in Truchas. He was a plumber by trade. Dino was a very loving and giving person always willing to help anyone in need, expecting nothing in return. Dino was a kid at heart he was always up to something. He loved riding his ATV and most recently his new Harley motorcycle. He enjoyed boxing and being in the Truchas mountains. Dino will be greatly missed. Dino was deeply saddened of the loss of his mother and father, but he made the best of it, so now he is reunited with them in Heaven. Dino was preceded in death by his companion, Amanda Romero; his mother, Sarah Cordova; his father, Jose “Eluid” Fernandez; his brother, Danny Sandoval; great-grandmother, Leonardita Barela; paternal grandparents: Delfino and Clorinda Fernandez and close cousins: Jovanna and Medardo Cordova and Juanito and Lisa Romero. Dino is survived by his son, Danny Fernandez; daughter, Kamryn Torres; brothers: Rayben Sandoval and wife Julie and their children: Reina and Rayben; Louie Sandoval and wife Valerie and their children: Ryan, Mariah, Grace, Christianne and Caleb all of Truchas; a special aunt who helped raise him, Susie Barela of Truchas; maternal grandparents: Fedencia Cordova of Truchas and Benerito Cordova and wife Isabel of Albuquerque; Amanda’s daughters: Mikayla and Dominique; aunts and uncles: Sammy Cordova and wife Irma of Truchas, Sheila Gonzales and husband Sam of Hayward, CA; Kathy Romero of Leadville, CO, Ross Cordova and wife Rosario of Chimayo, Medardo Cordova and companion Rose of Truchas, Susan Abeyta of Espanola, Carol McNeil and companion Phil of Los Alamos and Bobby Cordova and wife Carol of Truchas, Donna Romero of Albuquerque and Marie Martinez and husband Fileberto of Chimayo; and numerous cousins, friends and neighbors. Public visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a devotional service to be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Valley Bible Baptist Church in Arroyo Seco with Pastor Brian McMath officiating. Burial will follow at the Llanitos Cemetery in Truchas with the following serving as pallbearers: Ryan Sandoval, Tony Valdez, Tim Sanchez, Richie Marti, Vidal Fernandez and Manuel Nevarez; honorary pallbearers: Rayben Sandoval, Sammy Cordova Jr., Nathaniel Cordova, Vidal Romero, Caleb Sandoval and uncles, Gilbert Barela, Delfido Fernandez.
