Delfin Age - 96 La Mesilla Montoya

Delfin Montoya, 96, a resident of La Mesilla, surrounded by his family was escorted into the presence of His Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, March 9, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Eliria V. Montoya; parents, Enrique Montoya and Sara Vigil Montoya; brothers: Samuel and Antonio Montoya; sisters: Elosia Roybal and Ernestine Romero; brothers-in-law: Benjamin Roybal and Ernesto Romero; sister-in-law, Josie Montoya; daughter-in-law, Loretta Montoya. Delfin is survived by his daughters: Siria Lucero and husband Pete, Susan Serrano and husband Noberto, Dorothy Montoya and companion Isaac Valdez; sons: Ray Montoya and wife Dilia, Joseph Montoya; 19 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren; numerous great great-grandchildren; brother, Jose Benedito Montoya and wife Rose; numerous friends & relatives. Public visitation will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with a rosary to be recited at 4:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with burial to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Alfredo Lucero, Mike Montoya, Jason Montoya, Johnny Montoya, Christopher Lovato, Lorenzo Lovato, Ray Montoya and Pedro H.
