Delbert Herrera, 38, a resident of Espanola, Passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2015. Delbert was born on October 19, 1976, he was a very loving and giving person good father and son. Delbert was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jose Delfino and Teodrita Chacon; paternal grandparents, Pedro and Simona Herrera; uncles, Delfino Chacon Jr., Peter Chacon, Levi Herrera, Orlando Herrera, Marcelino Herrera, Rudy Maes, Silviano Baca, Arturo Vigil, and aunt, Nora Gurule. Delbert is survived by his sons, Dyon and Dylan Herrera; mother of his boys, Karen Roybal; daughter, Ava Maria; mother of his daughter, Audrey Garduno; parents, LeeRoy Sr. and Lenora Herrera; brother, LeeRoy Herrera Jr.; two loving close nephews, Elliot and Ethan Herrera; a very loving close cousin, Amy Herrera Vermersch who was like a sister; cousins, LeeRoy Chacon and wife Leslie and Marsha Chacon Trujillo who were like a brother and a sister to him; uncles, Emilo Herrera (Amborsia), Johnny Chacon, Tony Chacon (Mary Lou), Raymond Chacon, Eddie Chacon (Pablita), Orlando Chacon (Tonia); aunts, Caroline Garcia (Leo), Gregoria Vigil, Lorraine Maes and companion Jim, Becky Kasel, Rose Edwards, Mary Herrera and Tommie Herrera and many other loving cousins, relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada, with a burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, with the following serving as pallbearers, David Maestas, Johnny Marquez, Jose Chacon, LeRoy Chacon, Randy Baca, Chris Valdez and Esiquel Garcia. Honorary pallbearers are all his cousins.
