Deborah Hayes - Sanchez

DEBORAH J. HAYES-SANCHEZ, 64, a resident of Alcalde, passed away of a short illness, on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Deborah was preceded in death by her sister, Sandy Hayes, and brother, Bobby. She loved the outdoors, going fishing, hunting and camping always brought her joy. She loved vending her amazing tasting honey. Deborah enjoyed going to her grandsons sporting events and 4H activities. Deborah is survived by her husband, Ricardo Sanchez; parents, Robert and Dolores Hayes; siblings, Rebecca Smith, Tim Hayes (Robyn), Jan Maestas; step-daughters Tess Sanchez, Jackie Mondragon (Pete); nieces, Abby Smith, Elizabeth Hayes, Amelia Hayes, nephews, Anthony Maestas, Thomas Maestas, Jacob Smith and many more family and friends. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh with burial to follow at the Alcalde Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers are her grandsons, Marcos Romero, Jonah Mondragon, Ethan Mondragon, and nephew Thomas Maestas. The family of Deborah J. Hayes-Sanchez has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
