She is preceded in death by her father Buddy A. Gallegos, mother Lorraine B. Gallegos, granddaughter Gabriella Lynn Pacheco, and her partner Andres Ortega.

Deborah is survived by her daughter Danielleher grandchildren Kevin (Hope), Lorena, Helena, Aaliyah, and great grandsons Izayah and Cassius; her beloved dog Lucia; her siblings, Anthony and Elizabeth.

In her early career, Deborah worked for the New Mexico Magazine as an editor. She studied Criminal Justice/Law at the College of Santa Fe. Deborah also studied Criminology at Metropolitan College where she graduated with a degree in Paralegal Studies. She worked as a Paralegal for the Federal Criminal Defense in Albuquerque. Deborah was also a caregiver for her good friend Angie (Armijo) Valdez. Deborah was a very classy lady who loved rock and roll and classical music. In her younger years, she loved riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, wearing her leathers and going to bike runs all over the state. She loved animals and was saddened when her dogs Fuffy and Chico passed away. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was incredibly supportive in whatever activities her grandchildren were involved in. She was always buying them small meaningful gifts. Deborah faced many struggles in her life, but always managed to overcome them. She was not afraid to stand up for what she believed. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
