David D. Talley, 96, of Española, NM passed away on Monday, April 23, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, James M. Talley, and Helen Purcell Talley; brothers: Lloyd, Claudy, Albert, Curtis and Wayne; sisters: Vera and Fay.\r\nHope M. Fowler Talley, 91, of Española, NM passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Butler Fowler, and Frances Mabry Fowler; brothers: Curtis and Hap; sister, Rosa.\r\nThey are survived by daughter, Peggy Pinkston of Española, NM; son, Daniel Talley of Los Alamos. They are also survived by 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; David’s brother, Vallon Talley of Palisade, CO; Hope’s brothers: Finis and Marvin; many cherished nieces, nephews and other loving family & friends.\r\nDavid was born on August 5, 1915 in Red Rock, Bastrop County, Texas, and moved with his family to Claunch, NM in 1935. He was a member of the Local #412 Plumbing and Pipefitters Union for over 60 years. David was also a member of the Valley Masonic Lodge AF & Am since 1950’s and a member of the Valley Chapter of the Eastern Star, and the Shrine Club.\r\nHope was born on January 17, 1921 in Eden, Texas. She moved with her family to Claunch, New Mexico at about the same time as David. They were married on March 10, 1937. She was a member of Valley Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.\r\nMemorial service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment will take place at Santa Fe Memorial Gardens at 1:00 p.m. The family of David D. Talley and Hope M.
