David C. Age - 82 - Chamisal Abeyta

David C. Abeyta, 82, a resident of Chamisal passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012. He was a disabled Veteran of the Korean War. He worked for logging and local farming. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Emily Abeyta; father, David Abeyta, Sr.; step-mother, Rosa Abeyta; birth mother, Petra Abeyta; uncles: Jose Domingo Abeyta, Edelio Abeyta; grandfather, Juan P. Abeyta; aunt, Luz Martinez; cousin, Minnie Martinez. David is survived by his brothers: Johnny and wife Roseanna Abeyta of Chamisal, Paul Abeyta of Chamisal; sister, Irene and husband Leroy Romero of Chamisal; aunt, Mary Herrera of Mora; numerous other loving relatives & friends. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 23, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. with the following serving the family as pallbearers will be: Paul and Juan Jr. Abeyta, Alfred Romero, Danny Abeyta, Dominic Martinez and Leroy Romero. The family of David C. Abeyta has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
