David Peter Falk

David (Dave) Peter Falk, 60, of Hernandez, New Mexico, died peacefully on Friday August 2, 2024, with his loving wife by his side, after a short battle with cancer.

He was born December 7, 1963, in Port Huron, Michigan to the late John and Mary Alice Falk. He married Nikki Marie Herriman on January 10, 2004 in Port Canaveral, Florida.

Dave had a 36-year career in the US Customs Brokerage Industry and ended his career as a Deployed Security Professional at Los Alamos National Laboratory with his work family and friends. In his free time, Dave enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, hiking, reading and landscaping his yard. He had a big heart and supported many charitable organizations.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Alice Falk; nephew Christopher O’Connor and great niece Nyree VanCamp.

He is survived by his wife, Nikki; siblings John (Liz) Falk, Mary (Ed) Hutton, Janice (Timothy) O’Connor, Joseph Falk; nieces and nephews John Falk, Maribeth (Greg) Wolters, David Falk (Carol Ogren), Kathleen (Craig) Wilder and Andrew (Megan) O’Connor, niece-in-law Christina O'Connor; great nieces and nephews Elena Wolters, Brenden Rushkewics, Jillian Wolters, Camden Wolters, Emma Wilder, Madilyn Wilder, Alyson Wilder, Keeley O’Connor, Anthony O’Connor; in-laws Lawrence (Janet) Herriman, Sr., brother-in-law Lawrence (Stephanie) Herriman, Jr., Jack Herriman, Allison Herriman; many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 12:00 noon to 2:30 pm at the Velarde Community Center (State Road 68 County Road 60 A).

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MICHIGAN:  Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church (1331 7th Street, Port Huron, Michigan 48060). Viewing at 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  Funeral Service 11:00 am to 12:00 Noon.

Donation can be made to Espanola Valley Humane Society in lieu of flowers.
