David Anthony Salazar
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Dad David Anthony Salazar, a lifelong resident of Ranchitos, New Mexico. David entered eternal rest with our Heavenly Father on January 22, 2025. His sudden passing has left a huge void in the hearts and lives of those who loved him.
Born on April 28, 1946, David was the second child of five children born to Willie Salazar and Lucy War Salazar.
Those who preceded him in death are his loving parents Willie and Lucy War Salazar; his loving wife Charlotte Salazar; son Dean Anthony Salazar; daughter Stefanie Salazar and grandson Anthony Manzanares, as well as by his sister Irene Salazar Payan, brothers- in- law, Frank A. Serrano and Joseph E. Martinez, along with many other family and friends, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
David was raised in a loving family focused on the importance of family and faith and held a strong bond with his sisters and brother, a bond that would last a lifetime. Holidays and special occasions were always celebrated with each other and daily visits, phone calls and sharing meals kept the family bond and their love strong.
Our beloved Dad had a special and different relationship with each of his seven children and often told us when departing “I love you with all my heart and soul”.
He is survived by his sisters Alice Serrano and Connie Martinez; brother Willie Ronnie Salazar and wife Mary Lou; his son David Salazar and wife Gina, and their children, Theresa, Nathan, Antonia and D’Andre; his daughter, Doreen Archuleta and husband Wayne, and their children, Nicole and husband Chris and Joshua; his daughter Bonita Salazar; his son Dean Salazar and his daughter Marissa Salazar; grandsons Willie and Alejandro; Special cousins, Audoro War and Roger Martinez; Special Aunt Mannie Lynch. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of special friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday February 5, 2025 at 11:00AM at Santa Cruz de la Canada Catholic Church in Santa Cruz. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
