DAVID T. WRIGHT, 65, a resident of Española, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2010 following a sudden illness. He was preceded in death by his father, David S. Wright and nephew, Stewart W. Wright. He has a Master’s degree in Psychology and was a licensed therapist in the New Mexico. He lived in the Española Valley all his life. He served in the US Army and was honorably discharged. He was a counselor that touched and helped many lives. Mr. Wright is survived by his mother, Lorencita R. Wright of Chili; brothers and sisters, Wayne Wright and wife Delfina, James Eugene Wright and wife Priscilla all of Taos, Gloria Martinez and husband Cipriano of Chili, Wanda Wright of Chile and Regina Partin of Rhode Island; 9 nephews and nieces; 17 grand-nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial to follow at 10:30 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Carlos Martinez, Michael Aguilar, Lyle Wright, Steve Saubel, Leo Martinez Jr. and Cipriano Martinez.
